It's All About Our Patients
Q. Why do we keep our doors open?
A. To provide quality, affordable reproductive healthcare, family planning and community educational programs to all in our community who need these services, regardless of income level.
Q. How do we keep our doors open?
A. Our operating budget for 2008 is just over $2.4 million. The bulk of these expenses are for patient care and pharmaceutical costs, educational programs and educator salaries, rent/mortgages/utilities, clinic/administrative staff salaries, program expansion/new service offerings, to name a few. Of that budget, a good portion of our operating revenue comes from clinic operations, a small portion comes from private foundation program grants and the rest comes from individual donor gifts.
NO OPERATING SUPPORT DOLLARS COME FROM THE PLANNED PARENTHOOD FEDERATION OF AMERICA NATIONAL ORGANIZATION, OR FROM LOCAL/STATE/NATIONAL GOVERNMENTS.
Q. What is the PPGO Community Care Council?
A. The PPGO Community Care Club is a high level yearly donor club for those who believe in our mission, our services, and are willing to step up financially to provide either single or multi-year pledges to help provide a steady income stream to help cover day to day operational expenses. The minimum membership gift is $1,000 and is fully tax deductible.
Q. What is the goal of the PPGO Community Care Council?
A. To provide a stable, ongoing operational income flow that allows us to maintain current programs, expand our clinic programs to continue to offer state of the art reproductive healthcare as it becomes available, and to expand our community outreach, educational programs and advocacy for women's and reproductive healthcare rights.
